Yesterday I had the opportunity to have a training partner at the park the first time this summer. Having a training partner can help you reach your goals, creating competition and providing motivation for each person involved. Here is a look at what we did.

  • We began the training session with a round of GPP. GPP (General Physical Preparation) is a great way to improve your overall fitness levels.
  • We then moved into the Renegade Training RED2 system. The RED2 system reeducates the body, which will be very beneficial for Mike as he is currently dealing with some imbalances.
  • We then went into the High-Box Step up. A great exercise for anyone, and especially great for athletes looking to develop strength and power within their posterior chain. You can catch a video of the High-Box step up here.
  • Another great exercise that worked into the days training session was the Bulgarian split squat. If you looking for an exercise that could help improve your squatting strength, this is it. You can catch a video of the Bulgarian split squat here
  • We finished up the Training session with some DMC

It was a very fun training session, below is Mike and I going through the RED2 system.
