| This program introduces young hockey players to off ice training that is essential to their on ice hockey development. Movement patterns will be trained in ways that allow for the athlete to more easily adapt to a coach’s on ice training. Allowing the athlete to learn hockey specific skills in a shorter amount of time and perform them more consistently in a game. All AthleticFX youth programs are age appropriate safe, fun, challenging and effective.
Athletes of all skill levels and athletic ability will benefit from off ice transfer training. designed specifically for young developing hockey players who have a passion to be the best they could be on the ice. Parents and coaches alike will be satisfied with the results they see in their young athletes.
- Athletes will improve agility and balance, allowing them to better control edges while stopping and turning.
- By improving lower body stabilization athletes will improve stride and shooting.
- Movement training makes sport specific movements more efficient by expanding less energy.
- Age appropriate strength training exercises utilizing: bodyweight, medicine balls, and light dumbbells make an athlete stronger on his skates.
- Training speed and its components: Acceleration, speed of reaction, change of direction and proper mechanics.
- Shooting and passing drills on slide boards to enhance balance, strength and hand/eye coordination.
- Improved Confidence in every athlete that trains at the Junior Athletes Training Center will transfer directly to the ice along with improved athletic abilities.
